So, I got mugged about an hour and a half or so ago. Certainly an experience. No worries, I'm fine, save some mildly nasty scratches on my elbow. And the fact that I'm missing everything in my purse. Like, say, my phone, my debit card, my learner's permit, my PCC ID, etc. I'm not usually much of a curser, but I think I can be excused for the following lapse:
Fuckers.
ETA: I feel I should note that, for the record, I did fight back, even though there were two guys considerably bigger than I and one of them had what may or may not have been a gun. (I refuse to completely believe it was for what are probably sanity reasons.)

You've canceled your debit card and called the phone company, yeah?
Dang. I don't know whether to be impressed that you fought back or yell at you for it. I'm glad you're all right, though.

You could do what the cop did and tell me that it was brave, but also stupid? (To give him credit, he phrased it much more nicely than that.)

Exactly what happened.
22:34] DecepticonAF: Well, I was rounding the corner from Del Mar to Meridith, when these two black guys blocked me off (So tell Alemi that's a "no.") and demanding that I give them my purse. I said, "No." So one of them grabbed it and I pulled back, and then he pulled out what honestly might have been a gun (but it was so teeny!) and said, "I've got a gun!" so I held that arm pointed away from me, thank you very much, and kicked him square in the gut, but they kept pulling and I kept pulling back and I suppose it goes without saying that they were stronger, so I fell down into the street and scratched my elbow up a bit and they ran away, and then the guy in the house next to the corner came out and called the cops for me. And now I don't have my purse or anything that was in my purse. :/ Sons of bitches....
[22:36] Empress Ordinary: I'm pretty impressed.
[22:37] DecepticonAF: I am, too. I stayed calm all through the police stuff, too. I kinda figured I be reduced to hysterics or something, but I didn't even cry or anything.
...
[22:44] DecepticonAF: I think it might be troublesome that I find the inconvenienence caused by the loss of all the stuff in my purse more of a bother than the actual mugging. :/
...
[23:55] Empress Ordinary: You still okay? Not hysterical or freaking out?
[23:56] DecepticonAF: I actually feel kind of happy-ish. Like, proud of myself.

Very glad to hear you're all right, though! Can't say I know what it's like...but I offer my condolences? That sounds like someone died. You know what I mean.
